On August 28, 2011 Hurricane Irene made landfall in Southern Jersey. Six months later we still have bridges out and the forests will take years to recover. These trees were toppled to the wind and rain from that hurricane

We had a huge windstorm a few years back that did some heavy damage to the old growth trees in Stanley Park and we can still see the devastation. But it was nothing like Irene so I can only imagine!
