As a trustee of our local historical society, Gail & I do research on some olden areas in Buena Vista Township. The first post office after the township was formed was in the Cedar Lake area. There was also a railroad station there for passenger and freight in the 19th Century. Today in the 21st Century this is al that is left in this area. We had to take a dirt road to get here.
