BnW Gails Engagement Ring by hjbenson

BnW Gails Engagement Ring

@shadesofgrey had given a link in a discussion for an adapter for Canon so you can use your old lens on the newer DSLRs, he also mentioned that their was an inexpensive lens extension tube that could also be purchased; since I decided to try more macros I ordered one and it came today. So here is my next macro shot and to do it in a low light situation.

When Gail & I got engaged, I did not give her an engagement ring, but surprised her with one that Christmas. I lite a candle on the dining room table and asked Gail to come over to take a macro of the ring. I like both the colour and the B&W so I am posting them both. Which do you prefer? Best Viewed Large

Nice black and white

It's nice in b&w but I prefer the color, it's more clear. I took the pictures of my diamond in my light box. It brought out the sparkle pretty well.

@crickle1969 Thank you Crickle, I thought of the light box, but I wanted it on Gail's finger

It's nice in black and white, but I prefer the color version because you can see color reflected in it.
