Feast.

Bird feeder in my neighbors' yard. Took this from my bedroom with the SX20, and gotta say the 560mm zoom (35mm equiv. EXIF will say 100mm) is really nice! I had a hard time choosing between this photo, and a close up of two birds fighting over food.

Taken with a Canon Powershot SX20 IS
amazing..

on those power shots do you find you still need to follow the focal length = 1 / min shutter speed rule to have stead shots?

@derf_cool Thanks!

@icywarm I honestly don't know, as I haven't played around a lot with the camera (didn't even use it all of this year until recently). But I would assume so on the most part. I usually keep mine on auto because I'm lazy. It does have IS which is nice, but like I said, haven't played around with it enough to really tell. Usually I use it for macros, not telephoto

Really nice sot - looks like a smorgess table for the birds.

Hey no PM's here so I had to ask this question here...

How do you like that hoga of yours... I may have just acquired 50 rolls of 120 slide film (at $1.25 a roll I couldn't say NO)

I am tempted to buy a toy camera and cross process in C-41... I know slide film does not have the range of reg film, so I am worried about exposure with the toy... any thoughts?

@icywarm No problem about asking questions in my comments :)

I love my Holga. Sure, it's a piece of crap, but I have gotten some outstanding results from it. I have the model with built in flash, which is nice for indoors. I shoot Velvia 100 with it, and have gotten stunning results (I have never tried cross processing). http://www.hmgphotos.com/Film/Velvia-100-Holga/13370965_nPZKq#972296167_xgDyn shows some of my Holga + Velvia results.

I say if you keep it to bright sunlight, you shouldn't have a problem with slide film in the Holga. Or you can do the tripod and long exposure thing as well.

I'm jealous about your film acquisition! I just bought some "Shanghai GP3" chinese cheap b&w film for $20 for 10 rolls, and I thought I was pretty cool. Figure there's no reason to buy for TriX just to run through a Holga and Lubitel. I still love Velvia as my film of choice for the Holga, though, but it's quite pricey to get processed so I resort to b&w and normal color most times.
