Finally made it to the grocery store! by homeschoolmom

Finally made it to the grocery store!

We are tired of sandwiches and fast food, so I had to take the time to go to the grocery store. Before I went, the only thing in the freezer was freezer packs and son's grouse tail feathers from last fall. Now it looks a little more like my refrigerator. One of the evils of moving -- you practically have to buy everything new when you get to your new location.
SCORE!! Love to have a full fridge, but then it's kinda hard to find stuff and make room for leftovers, etc. Stuff gets lost in the fullness. Rather that than not enough food, though, and trying to make due with a few things.

Lol, great captures - wonder how long it will stay that full!!... ツ

@amandal Hahahaha! I have two teenagers and a tween. We rarely have leftovers. Yesterday, for Father's Day, I made a roast in my big crock pot. I had it so full, it had juice coming up around the lid. LOL! Lesson learned, next time we move, take both crock pots. My 14-year-old went back for seconds and there wasn't any. He wasn't happy.

@tremerryn Not long with my family. My two boys are bottomless pits!

With young boys who have empty tummies, this is a necessity for sure!

Oh I know those views!!

Looks healthy now! Our fridge is rather bare at the moment!

Looks good enough to eat. At some point only good wholesome food will satisfy.

Well done Lisa, you look all set to cook some great meals

Just last night I was thinking - When will Lisa post. My last move was in with my DH. He didn't believe in throwing anything (medicine or food) out if it didn't have mold. I got rid of things that were 40 years old (when he wasn't looking). Then proceeded to get all the things I needed to cook. HOw's the weather?

@lynnilou Yes, they still think they are going to starve to death, even after I've been to the store! LOL!
@quietpurplehaze @kwind @annika82 @linnypinny @lafish @swilde @digitalrn @sarasdadandmom Thanks everyone!
@happysnap @ceilidh Feels good to cook real food. Course, that will be much easier tomorrow after all my stuff gets here. I should have packed a bigger pot., but I didn't think we'd be without them this long.
@juliedduncan We had to take extra special care to get them here. Eventually, we have to salt them to make the tail fan. He has to keep them. It's the first animal he got hunting.

@joansmor It's really hot! It's fabulous! LOL! Been in the 90s everyday, but cools off in the evening. We keep having short rain storms. Course, we need them. The grass is rather brown already.

This makes me laugh, I should do the same, I keep the idea in my mind ;)

@cocobella Sadly, the fridge is looking empty again already! LOL! It needs a self-refill option!

Wow- looks like your stocked up now. But with a house full of men, I know how quickly that will disappear!
