I found some Christmas holly growing near the old barn I photograph a lot! At least, I think it's holly. Leaves don't quite look right, but it's pretty and green in the middle of Dec.
@joansmor Thanks! @amyleewinfield Well, so far, our winter has been very mild. It's still in the 50s, almost 60 here during the day. A few nights has dropped below freezing, but the temp always pops back up when the sun comes out. @paulam@swilde@susanalena@sarasdadandmom@bill_fe Thanks! @dide Well, you might have just solved the mystery of why I didn't notice this giant holly hedge before. It's probably just started to get berries. LOL! But, not being one for cold weather, I would love to experience a summertime Christmas just once. @golder365mjsmith Hahahaha! Why didn't I think of that for my title?
I think you're right- it looks to be holly. The one thing I do know about holly is that you have to have both a "male" bush and a "female" bush within a certain distance from one another or you won't get the berries. Interesting, isn't it?! Nicely captured!

@olivetreeann I didn't know that either. This was a whole hedge row of them, so no wonder they have so many berries! LOL!
