Mrs. Cardinal hides in a tree. by homeschoolmom

Mrs. Cardinal hides in a tree.

I almost didn't see this female cardinal hiding in my neighbor's tree. I had to zoom way in to even get it. I was actually surprised to find that she was a cardinal, as from far away, all I could see was a vague shape.
Very cool. Excellent capture.

Whenever I see Mr. Cardinal at the feeder, I always look for Mrs. but they really do know how to hide! Good catch!

Love this one in color--the colors of the branches and the bird really harmonize!

@randystreat Thanks so much for the FAV!
@mittens @ceilidh @swilde @linnypinny @kareenking Thanks!
@paulam Thanks! I barely noticed her setting up there. She blended right in!
@olivetreeann I have seen a few around the neighborhood, but this is the first one I saw near my house. Saw both male and female the next day about the same time. I'll have to start watching for them.
