One bearded iris open, let the photographing begin! LOL!
You all will probably be tired of seeing pictures of my bearded irises (called Edith Wolford) by the time they are done blooming, but I can't stop myself from taking pictures of them. The first one opened this morning and I've already taken 20 pictures of it. Here's some of the better ones from today. They are about 2-3 weeks early blooming this year. No wonder, it's hot. We've officially moved on to summer here in the South US.
Beautiful flowers. Irises are one of my favorite flowers. They somehow remind me of my grandmother. You're ahead of us -- mostly daffodils around here too.
@brillomick@cathieg Our daffodils came in February and were gone by the beginning of March. Spring is running about 3 weeks early. Already feeling like summer here.
