My hubby's getting promoted Wednesday, so I was assembling photos for his ceremony and thought it would be fun to post some of these old pics I took of him. The top left pic was his promotion to 1st Lieutenant way back in 1992, when he was stationed in Germany. The top right was taken at the airport in St. Louis on Dec. 3, 2003, when my husband returned from Afghanistan. I took the bottom photo in Berchtesgaden, Germany, in the spring of 1992 (probably early March, end of skiing season) while we were there for a special free trip following the First Gulf War. Notice my hubby is wearing his new Lederhosen! LOL! Oh, by the way, the two older pics from Germany were taken with my old Pentax K-1000 on film and scanned in. I think the other one was taken on my first digital camera, a Cannon.
Hi, sorry this is a bit late (I've been very behind and am melting a bit)!
As you know i'm you get pushed partner for this week. You're challenge for this week is to take a photo of a location that's important to you with just 5 shots total. Which sounds easy, but this must be done fully manually, with no preview and most importantly no deleting! After 5 clicks of the shutter you have your material from which to pick.
(If that makes no sense, which it probably doesn't, or doesn't sound challenging i'll pick something else!)
What a nice collage they have on display for his promotion ceremony. I know he will be happy to have these pictures shown. Nicely done Lisa and congratulations on his promotion
