One of my gladiolas is caught in the wild blackberry bush trying to grow around my trash cans. I started to pull it loose, but I realized it was holding the plant up, protecting it from toppling in the wind. And, it's apparently created a great spot for a bug to get a drink (I didn't notice the bug inside until I looked at this on my comuter).
