Last night, Dave and the boys went up into the attic for a quick look at the floor joists. They were to start planning on how they were going to build a wall to close off the loft today. As they were looking, a bird flew past their heads. They realized that the starlings that always guild nests in the vents, knocked the hose off and were now in the attic. They bought fishing nets and captured two, but a third died when it went into the fluffy insulation. And they found another that had been dead for a while. This morning, we heard a bird in the attic. Sure enough, missed one. No, missed two and found another dead one in the insulation. Still haven't gotten the second one out. It keeps going into the corners where they can't get to it, so we might end up with another one that is dead. But, there will be no more birds in the attic. We covered the vents with these cages to keep them out.
