My husband and boys got bows a few months ago. My husband hung his on deer hooves the taxidermist mounted a few years ago. He found this shed antlers in woods, we we put them on this piece of stained oak to make a cool hanger for the boys' bows. We used copper wire to attach the antler to the board. Fun project. The boys can't wait to hang them in their rooms.
Sounds like both a fun and practical project. My older son took up bow hunting for a while. But I think he uses a gun now. He enjoys having the venison for meals.
@olivetreeann My husband has hunted for years with rifle and shotgun. He is just starting to get into bow. The boys are willing to do anything and all things connected to hunting. As long as they are in the woods looking for animals, they are happy. Give them a gun or a bow, they are even happier. NC has a long hunting season, so they will probably hunt both bow and rifle season. My chest freezer is plugged in and ready to be filled with yummy deer meat. @swilde Thanks!
