Practicing the wedge! by homeschoolmom

Practicing the wedge!

Went to my youngest son's football practice Thursday night. Here they are practicing a wedge formation, where the offensive line squeezes in behind the center (my son, in front), to help push make a hole for the ball carrier or to push him through defensive line a little further. They must be doing this pretty good because they got a thumbs up from offensive line coach, my husband.
Wonderful!!

Looks pretty jam-packed to me. I think they'll make the 10 yards easily!

Quite a different take on practice with the coach in fatigues.

@photographycrazy Thanks!
@olivetreeann Hunter says this is his least favorite formation because his toes always get trampled! LOL!
@randystreat Last year, half of the team were military kids. This year, he's on a different team and he seems to be the only military kid there, which is surprising given how close we live to Ft. Bragg. They are using his uniform to their advantage, making him be the "disciplinarian" of the team! LOL!
