Mockingbird's bad morning by homeschoolmom

Mockingbird's bad morning

This poor mockingbird had a very bad morning. First he got stuck in our enclosed porch. Then as he was trying to get out the door, he hit beside the door and slid down the wall to the floor. Our big dog pounced on it, and smelled it. The mockingbird managed to fly out between Seamus's legs and out into the yard. But the dog chased him and pounced on him again for another smell. The bird got away and hid in the grass along the fence. I thought the mockingbird was injured because he was stepped on at least once, maybe twice, by a 95-pound dog, but he few away after a few minutes. Seamus always chases the birds out of our yard and barks at them. Maybe he just wants to make friends because he had this bird on the ground twice and only smelled it, didn't even lick it.
Poor little birdie. He must have had such a fright
