As I headed across the boardwalk to the beach, I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be funny if the Marines were doing PT (physical training) on the beach this morning." As soon as I crossed over the dune, there they were, running up the beach, a squad of young U.S. Marines. They ran up the beach past me, then as they came back quite a while later, they stopped to do pushups and sit-ups in the water's edge before continuing back down the beach. I'm sure they probably do this quite often, given the gorgeous beach on Camp Lejeune.
