As with a lot of Scouts, my son turned in his Eagle Scout packet the day before his 18th birthday So, this morning, we met with our troop's committee chairman and scoutmaster to get signatures, then drove to the Occoneechee Council office in Raleigh, an hour from our house. But, at least we were able to celebrate with lunch at Red Lobster. In a few weeks, they will contact him to do his Eagle Board of Review. After that, he will officially be an Eagle Scout.
