The sun beats on our front door all afternoon. The door handle gets so hot, we almost can't touch it. So, my daughter came up with the idea of using a cheap gray washcloth (so it blends in with the silver door handle) and pony tail holder to cover the door handles. She covered both handles on the screen door and hang another over the knob of the main door. Made a huge difference. No more burnt fingers! LOL!
A great idea - my front door gets so hot, I have to be careful what decor I place on it in the summer - anything with even a touch of glue doesn't last for more than a few hours!
