For my Get Pushed challenge, I was asked to photograph shadows. This song came to mind immediately. Finally, got the photo to go with it Sunday after church (and appropriately, we sang this song during worship Sunday). This cross is actually a memorial to honor one of the soldiers who attended our church. As a church that is about 75% military (active duty, family member, retiree or former military), it has a prominent spot between the children's tent building and the gym where we currently hold worship services.
Shadows by David Crowder
Life is full of light and shadow
Oh the joy and oh the sorrow, oh the sorrow
And yet will he bring dark and light
And yet will he bring day from night
When shadows fall on us,
we will not fear we will remember
When darkness falls on us
we will not fear we will remember
When all seems lost
when we’re thrown and we’re tossed
We’ll remember the cost,
we’re resting in the shadow of the cross
