Why are these my favorite kitchens? Well, because they are mine, or sort of mine. The top left kitchen was my kitchen for nearly 18 years, in our first house. The top right was only our kitchen for 15 months. We still own both houses and rent them out, although we are thinking about selling both of them. The middle kitchen is really my mother-in-law's, but I've spent so many holidays cooking in her kitchen over the past 29 years that I know her kitchen better than mine. We made a lot of great memories there. This picture is at least 4 years old, as my youngest son is now about 8 inches taller than Grandma. The bottom left kitchen was my absolute favorite. Too bad it didn't really belong to me, as it was in the house in NH that we rented for the 11 months we were there. The bottom left is my current kitchen, taken right after we put in the new granite counter tops.
Well, I see one common thread in all of them- a red towel over the oven handle! You've had some beautiful kitchens- but the best part of each one is the memories you've made with your family there.
@olivetreeann All of my kitchens were red, except for the one in NH. It was yellow, but the dining room was wine colored. Close enough to use all my red stuff. Yes, the kitchen is the heart of the home.
