Magnolia fruits in the sunshine

Well, it appears that the grand magnolia trees have finished blooming for the summer. It's just been way too hot for their delicate flowers. Now the trees are covered in these fuzzy fruits, which will dry up, break open to show their shiny red seeds that looks like some kind of candy apple red kidney bean.
They look like mini-pineapples!
