Against the Tide - installation at Noosa

The Noosa City Council through the Regional Art Gallery puts on the Floating Land exhibition I think bi-annually. Artists are selected to participate in a five week arts festival , and create outdoor and install them at various spots on the Noosaville foreshore and the Noosa Waters precinct. This one was done by Judy and Jim Barrass...and I love it!
Well personally I think it looks like an Indonesian village, after a hurricane has hit it! I do like see it though as a photo!

It's poignant given the hurricanes that have destroyed so many of the Caribbean islands. Well captured.

I love it too, hope it lasts till the end of the festival. It does look rather rickety.

Very interesting. Do they leave the art projects in the water for the birds?

@maggiemae @taffy @ludwigsdiana @littleconnie @hrs @happysnaps @onewing @fayefaye @henrir @bkbinthecity thanks everyone. I like the notion of using on site materials for this piece. nothing there can harm the environment. And it has survived storms...and dogs and kids... I would imagine at the end of the festival all works would be removed...otherwise they would be a problem for the city to maintain.
