Orangoad (distant relative of frogmato)

photo 525
On my road to duplicate ( frogmato @bobfoto ) or at least improve my photo skills, here is the next installement of my "Toad on Fruit" series. This poor guy was where I was mowing so I had to stop and find a piece of fruit for him to pose on. He was not all that cooperative and couldn't figure what I was doing. It was good for a laugh, but next time I am bringing out the lightbox and getting a proper photo. Oh and if you are comparing, this is a young toad, the one with the apple was the parent! Hope everyone has a great day!

@annbo Thanks Ann, somedays I just wonder what the heck I am doing, but today I just laughed!

Well if you are going to make this toad pose in the light box I hope you have a training program in place between now and then :) Its a great shot. No way I could ever do this. I'd have to get close and even worse.... I'd have to touch the toad. I'm very much a zoom lens girl where frogs and toads are concerned :) Way to go Colleen. You're my hero!!

@vposey I kept having to catch him and put him back on the orange, it was trying to focus the camera that was the most difficult.:) @agima @northy Glad you both had a laugh at Mr. Toad :)

I LOVE this, Colleen. The lighting looks perfect to me and love the textures. He looks like he's being pretty cooperative here....but did you have to "place" him there yourself? I don't think that I could hold him ... if they even jump, I scream. (And would probably drop my camera LOL)

@karenann It was a battle, he wanted to go back to the cool garden and be shed of me, but I wanted a few photos of him. Here is my secret, I wear my gardening glove to protect us both, I wouldn't want him to get any of my germs. LOL

I would never have thought about putting a frog (toad) on a piece of fruit to take a picture - until now! Wow!

I liked seeing your other toad on fruit pic's in the past - what I like about this one in particular is the texture of the lemon in contrast with the texture of the frog...umm I mean toad

You got a good toad on fruit pic again! Yay!

@anazad511 I lam a teacher in Minnesota, but I lived in Oregon last year. Also just came back from a trip in Oregon so some of my shots are from there, where ever I go I tend to find funky animals. Thanks for all the FAVs-I hope to get more frog and toad shots I love them too!
