You are right! You are very lucky to see one, much less get a shot. There has been a barred owl hoot hoot hooting in my back yard for a while at dawn, but it is too dark to see anything. Then he stops. And I am sure goes to bed. So never have seen him. I wondered why we put so much more emphasis on one sense (sight/a photo) over the other (hearing/owl sound). kind of funny if you think of it. Fav!
