I just could not believe my luck when this beauty flew past me. It was daylight, but continuous shooting blocked out most of the light, leaving a wonderful dark background. I took so many shots as you can imagine (my fav bird), but for me this one stood out.

You can't begin to know how jealous I am of this shot. I am lucky enough to live in an area with lots of barn owls & I dream of getting a shot like this one day.
Oh wow awesome shot! How lucky are you, these birds are beautiful! (p.s did you know the collective noun for them is a 'parliament of owls'?, just a bit of trivia...)
THIS IS TOOOOOO GREAT! I wish I could even see one..well, we saw one flying on the creek at the lake at dusk the other night....or maybe a barred owl....but I so want to see one up close and esp. get a pic! I wish I could give this m ultiple favs!
Take it from me, she who bloodies her legs, tromping through thorn bushes to get shots of birds - you have here such a prize and yes, often luck of part of the process, but also, having those reflexes and that eye come into play as well. Congratulations on a breathtaking and very special photo...and clearly, a fav!
After all these comments, you’ve probably figured out this is an amazing shot without me telling you so. But I’m telling you anyway - this is so incredibly amazing!
