This little blackbird suddenly appeared from the tree where the nest is, trying to fly, but heading down down down. Fortunately he was alright, I kept my distance and the parents who were making a racket from the fence above managed to coax him back. He's fine.
Little Fledgies are so awkward and cute. They're tail feathers seem to come in last which will finally stabilize their movement. Until then, they toddle a long and it's darling to watch.
so happy to know he was ok! lucky there were no cats around. we had a family of robins here this spring and i worried so much about them. my large cat sat and watched them daily. they all survived - somehow.
