Moon & Mars by humphreyhippo

Moon & Mars

I normally shoot the moon at a much higher focal length than 135mm, but the other half commented on how bright Mars was next to the moon outside his window, so I tried to capture it.
In the end, this is a composite of different exposures - the moon is a 17 shot stack and Mars is from a much longer exposure that totally blew out the moon.
Fairly sure Mars will probably disappear at smaller resolutions, but at least I had a go. ;)
Very cool to see the two of them together, and to read how you were able to pull it off. Works very well!

Love it! The moon is so clear and Mars is very visible.

Ace. Just goes to show that having something off-centre sometimes works ;)
