Punching a Hole

I really do get up to the silliest things when left to my own devices...

This is supposed to be a strawberry punching a hole through a sheet of water...
I didn't have any strawberries, and getting a sheet of water takes more than a smile. ;)
By the time I managed to get something resembling one, I found that I didn't actually have enough space to throw the 'strawberry' so I had to drop it from above. This is the best I got - I think it would have gone better had my assistant been home. ;)
creates a very striking image! nicely done SC, btw... i wouldn't have guessed it wasn't full colour... as for your floor - see? now it's clean :)

@northy The original is very similar, I just used SC to remove some of the brown/yellow tones in the water from the light bouncing off the kitchen walls.

Awesome. Love the clarity

Fantastic! Dropping if from above worked just as well, in my opinion. I wouldn't have guessed that your assistant wasn't present. Well done - you obviously like a challenge.

This is really cool! And even if it's not quite what you might of wanted, I can still see it as a sheet of water being punctured!!!

Superb clarity. I think it does not matter whether you though strawberry or pepper. Both are very colorful. The water sheet is quite visible.

Neat shot! It's so crisp and sharp!

WOW, this is fabulous. So very clear. Fav for me. And lol at the tag "floor is very wet now" ; )

Great freshness to it! Love the ripples around the hole the "strawberry" made.

fabulous. I like the pepper!

could you explain the water sheet? I would like to try this and I am not sure what every one is talking about?

What a cool shot. I'm a bit miffed about not coming up with anything like that when left to my own devices. Which is 95% of the time. :D

@michellelittle If you go ~7 mins into this video, you'll see what I was trying to do - only I was inside, by myself & trying to use a kitchen tap. ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yx-pPHaJp60&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I so admire your patience and ability to turn these kind of shots out! I'm a bit phobic about water now after my last two attempts earlier in the year!

Fab shot! If I was left home alone doing that I'd probably end up having to get the firebrigade to pump the house out!

Sounds very technical - looks very pretty (well funky with a pepper!)

Love the capture of the water in motion. Reminds me of bobbing for apples. Or in this case, peppers. ;O)

Love this H, wouldn't have known it was SC and after watching the video, to do all that on your own I think you must be more Olly Octopus than Humphrey Hippo :)
