Winter peace

So peaceful around where we live at them moment with the covering of snow. even the children have been peaceful today! Little Hoo has nearly finished her blue whale igloo...see in my other album. She wants to paint it first before it is finished...hahaha
the Tomato and are are nearly finished with our fort, just some snowballs left to make.
This is at the end of our street. A lake we skate on but cannot bathe in as it is a bit clay like on the bottom and would just suck your feet into the bottom. Shame really, hej ho, we have a swimming lake not too far from us so everyone is happy. The day has been spent in the snow and at the swimming pool. this evening it will be wrestling training and and early night for me...I am shattered! HAHAHAHA

Thought of the day:
Enjoy where you live, and if you don't then look for the small things that makes your place special. Prehaps a weed growing in the cracks of the pavement, or blossom on a tree. Be happy you are alive.
tooo colllllllddddddddddddd

@365projectorgrobin haha today it has been too warm. I had far too many clothes on, had to drink loads of water when I came in with the children! Only about minus 1 today

What a fantastic place to live. Where I grew up, there was a pond with a spring at the bottom. That made it not great for swimming for the same reason but we did make camps among the reeds when it was iced over. Yay for the days before they invented "health and safety!"

@huvesaker Totally agree! We seem to be growing risk averse children who won’t know how to be the movers and shakers in the next generation! Tragic. Hopefully it will reverse when they realise!

@casablanca No health and safety in this family, we say, try it, if it doesn't work, try again until it does!

@huvesaker Excellent! Glad to hear I am not alone! Used to send my boy out to play on the streets here and he came in saying no-one was out there because their parents had read too many scare stories in the press and they weren't allowed to play outdoors in case they got kidnapped or murdered!?!? Bonkers. I like your family :)
