before and after

I am off to the doctors tomorrow to get a certificate so I can get special food at school. this is a collage of pics... Taken before I stopped with gluten to four years later and my anniversary in august ...what a difference! No, I am not going back to eating gluten!

Thought of the day:
Sometimes your self confidence gets knocked...sometimes not.
Wow that is some reaction Boo, can see why you are staying off gluten. I cant tolerate it either - but didnt have this sort of reaction

Gracious me Boo that is such a bad reaction! Wondering how long it took to find the cause was gluten & not acne! You must have felt very unhappy about that specially if it was itchy! Thought you had chicken pox at first glance! I have just become allergic to ibuprofen after all these years but I know now so will stay clear. You have a lovely clear & happy face now!

@365anne not many people do!

@happypat the answer...YEARS! I stumbled across something on the internet and rang the doc...then I just tried not having any gluten...did that for three months, tried eating gluten, felt terrible and spent four hours curled up on my bed...

@jacqbb I was very glad!

@brennieb ooh shellfish...not good. I know there is so much gluten in everything!

Good to know what to avoid. I have an intolerance to it but get away with some organic bread etc.
Just make sure your diet contains lots of dairy nutrients etc

Clearly Gluten is not your friend! I know making the changes is difficult, but fortunately you're not alone and so many products are made to help you in your resolve! Many of us have to give up some favorite food for one reason or another, and the change in how we feel is usually worth it!

I am so pleased that you found the problem and were able to get better. Being gluten free is so much easier now everything is labeled so well. I know what you mean about the bread - I really miss asparagus rolls made from real fresh bread!
