On its 6th year as Miss World Philippines, the national pageant which produced the Philippines very first Miss World Megan Young, present this year's roster of official candidates.
Twenty - Five hopefuls will vie for the title of Miss World Philippines 2016.

The title holder will follow in the footsteps of her predecessors, Miss World 2011 1st Runner - Gwendoline Ruais, Miss World 2012 Top 8 - Queenierich Rehman, Miss World 2013 - Megan Lynne Young, Miss World 2014 Top 25 - Valerie Weigmann and Miss World 2015 Top 10 and Multimedia Award Winner - Hillarie Parungao.
Recently, VIVA and CQGQ Inc., forged a partnership arrangement to organize and produce Miss World Philippines. National Director, Cory Quirino, reassured the countless supporters of Miss World Philippines that the beauty pageant will be managed with as much dedication and passion as it was in the last 5 years - if not more.
Vic Del Rosario, Chairman of VIVA expressed hope that the teamwork between the two companies will prove to be a resounding success.
Miss World Philippines is a member of the prestigious Miss World Organization which boasts of close to 120 participants.
Based in London, England, it was established by Sir Eric Morley in 1951, having earned the distinction of being the very first beauty pageant organized in the world.
The Philippines, after having the won the famous "Blue Crown" in 2013 through Megan Young now belongs to distinguished rank of crown holders.
Considered the most challenging of beauty pageant competitions, Miss World includes fast-track events which are not all present in other pageants such as Top Mode, Beach Beauty, Beauty With A Purpose ( the best humanitarian project), Multi Media and Sports Challenge. The Philippines won Top Model in 2013 and Multi Media in 2015.
Miss World Philippines will be presented live from Manila Hotel via GMA on Sunday, September 25, 2016.
