York Station

063 - I've commented before (16th March 2012) about how much I like the architecture of York Station. Well, here's another part of this marvellous building. The original overall roof doesn't cover the full length of the platforms, so these ornate platform roof extensions were added at the southern end. They complement the original roof very well, and provide welcome shelter to those whose train stops well down the platform.

Glad you like it, but I did have to wait a while for a train with a reasonably subdued colour scheme so it blended in with the station canopies!

That train was made to order and you're right it fits right into the color scheme.

Some of the colour schemes are quite vivid - it was worth waiting for this one!
