Wildflower

I brought my macro lens to the park and saw the big lawnmower come, so I took a quick picture of this wildflower

I live in New Caledonia and we have these here. They are a weed though and are called sensitive here because the leaves retract when touched :)

It looks like an exploded firework! Very pretty colour.

@anjoso Thank you for stopping by and commenting! You are right, when you touch the leaves they close. My kids loved it when they were younger and we called it mimosa. I just googled "mimosa" as I did not realize the flower belongs to this funny plant, but it does.

@stephanies It does look like fireworks, doesn't it. Just found out the plant is called mimosa - see comment above.
