When our neighbors were about to evacuate (fortunately their house did not flood), they found a baby squirrel. Their teenage daughter took care of it. Obviously she called it Harvey. The squirrel is doing very well and they have now brought it to a wildlife refuge.
What a sweet photo. I'm so sorry to hear of all the damage in your neighborhood. I remember how long it took some of the Nashville area in the flood of 2010 and it wasn't nearly as bad as what your area experienced. Sending good thoughts and prayers!
No, we stayed @stephanies - at certain point we even were the only people in the street! (out of 37 houses).
Half of the street needed to leave because they flooded, but we didn't so it was not necessary. Most families who did not flood, left because we were without electricity for 6 days. But we do not have family close by and I was afraid that friends wouldn't be friends anymore after we invade their house with 2 adults, 3 teenagers, 2 (active) dogs and a rabbit ;)
