My husband took me to the Houston Center for Photography. Unfortunately it was really small and we were in and out within 10 minutes, but close by was the "Menil Collections" - an art museum. They had some incredible art, which I obviously was not allowed to take pictures of. What I also liked that there was a group of senior ladies visiting. They all wore something purple and had something red on their heads. I wanted to take their picture, but did not want to ask, so I tried this. Although my focus is off, I like this picture.
The red hat ladies! If you are 50 or older you wear the red hat & purple clothing and if you are under 50, ypu wear pink hats and lavendar clothing. I love to see them in a group like this. I love that it is out of focus with just that pop of color.
Oh, yes!!! My mother was a red hat lady! She made lots of new friends and had so much fun participating in the various activities. Love your shot and I noticed those red hats even before I read your title and narrative. :-)
I asked to join the red hatters and they said I have to wear the colours but I would look awful in all purple so I didn't bother to pursue it any further. Shame they do some fun outings together.
