Last year I noticed that most caterpillars disappeared from my milkweed before they were big enough. I bought "a habitat" on Amazon and have been taking some caterpillars in. This female monarch was born when it was nasty wet and cold outside. I put her out on this plant, but didn't do anything - perfect for a picture. After about 20 minutes I brought her back inside. After an other couple of hours she ate some banana. The next day the weather was a lot better and she had enough energy, so she flew away.
