Remembrance Monument

To celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary we stayed a long weekend in an all inclusive hotel in the north of the Netherlands. During the day we left the resort and one of our excursions was to Kamp Westerbork.
In the 2nd world war this was a transit camp where 102.000 Jews and some Roma passed through. The museum and movie they showed were very interesting, but on the terrain was not much to see other than a small piece of train track and an impressive monument with a stone for every person passed through there. This picture is of part of the monument.
Really great dof in this image. Interesting narrative too.
