i've been around the beaches in muscat and nearby and there was no greens like this. they really buffed up the beaches. makes me want to go back. the mosques alone are to die for to photograph (if nobody's looking). nice shot, ingrid. aces!
@summerfield - they really try to make the beaches nice - but they like tidy grass, so I believe this is just "wild grow".
You are right about the mosques. Some, especially some smaller ones are very very pretty. I don't think there is a problem photographing them (as long as be respectful and don't go on a Friday). I actually was planning to do a mosque a day for the month of Ramadan. But at that time we were in a lock-down - encouraged not to leave your home with lots of police in the streets, so it didn't do it. Hopefully next Ramadan or if I know we have to move I do it earlier.
Here are some links to pictures I took earlier... When I went at night with my tripod to the Muhammad al Amin Mosque (collage), there was somebody else with a big camera and tripod :) https://365project.org/ingrid01/365/2020-01-26https://365project.org/ingrid01/365/2019-12-27http://365project.org/ingrid01/365/2019-11-19
