I saw this very cool idea on the AYWMC Lightroom Facebook support group and had a try. The instructions were simple: put droplets on a cd in a dark room. Camera on a tripod ISO100 f25 20s exposure. She also mentioned that she reduced the glow of the torch in Lightroom.
This picture was taken with ISO100 f20 and 13s exposure. I moved my iPhone torch around. The results are very cool and didn't need a lot of editing in lightroom - I slightly increased the clarity and removed some spots. But her photos were better. After looking carefully I noticed that she used a black background.
I did this inside, on the corner of our bed and the white sheet gives a yellow feeling. It was not a very wet business like the splashes, but if my husband complains about wet feet, I tell him he has sweaty feet :)
I might try this again with a dark background tomorrow.
Also, tagged for the December words as it fits the word curves perfectly!
excellent! i saw the example too, but without the setting details. and planned to give it a try some day, but i was too lazy so far. it's moment is not yet here.
anyhow, some experimenting must be done almost all the time, because no two cameras are the same. not to mention the surroundings, the lens and so on.
and some experimenting is good to satisfy one;s curiosity (so that it doesn;t kill the curious, like it did with the cat )
