Lovely sunset today and went to the beach later , really to take photos of the snow as it's eerie when you see it on the beach but I liked the reflections and textures of the sun in the sand ripples. I have rotated it so the emphasis is on shape and texture rather than sand
Lovely! At first I thought it was ropes of kelp, then maybe corrugated iron... you fooled me with that turn! I really enjoy your images, I find them always interesting, and love how first they often seem quite dark but there is usually a myriad of subtle colours on closer inspection. :)
@spankyjane thanks Mel, it's not often me and subtle come up in the same sentence! I just find sometimes things can be lost if the image is easily identifiable- if that's makes sense :)
Great image. Love the colours and reflection. Nice idea to rotate it. Once you see what it is you can almost feel the wet sand running through your fingers!
You take wonderful images with the iPhone. I've never liked cameras without a viewfinder, but these images do make want to explore the capabilities of my camera phone.
@dave_rv Thanks Dave, another advantage is apps, I know what you mean about viewfinders. The same with the lens, I tried my husband's camera and tried to twist the lens to focus. Will maybe try it again !
@masosy Thank you Kate, and congrats on your flower on PP - you totally deserve that :) @juliesviewoflife@janpenny@thedoublea Thanks for your comments - never totally sure if I should go with my ideas so it's really encouraging to get comments like this :)
Beautiful image Ingrid - really thought it was the sun shining on a metal fence when I first saw it! Love the light and the rotation is so clever - totally alters perception! : )
The sand is very tactile - close, closer than I am usually. Turned around it becomes about light and form and shape and less a picture of sand at all. Quirky. Great image Ingrid.
My first thought was that these were metallic forms. I love the way you've manipulated this image to play with the mind a bit. And I see those human forms that Spirrow mentioned too. Very cool.

Thank you all! I'm enjoying that everyone is seeing different things - it's making me see it differently too
