another oldie - last Sunday however it's still cold and raining here - everyone moaning a month ago that it was too dry. Ha ha ha. Island fever is setting in - thankfully I'm being let off the rock on Friday - Yeah hah. Off to Edinburgh to pick up my eldest from uni. 2 days to wander around - take photos of complete strangers, visit galleries, take more photos, have a decent curry - Mother India here I come, sit in Blackwells with a photography book "I really need this one"

Oh wow- I just realised what an amazing part of the world you live in! I would love to visit the Orkney Islands one day. Googled Rerwick and found it in the Shetlands. How cool. Gorgeous photo. Enjoy your time in Edinburgh! (Another visit-one-day places for me)
@carolinedreams Thanks Caroline - I just had to google it too and there is a Rerwick in Shetland although I should have called this Rerwick Head - sorry. Orkney and Shetland have a lot of placenames in common. Yes it's lovely here but climate can be rubbish but nearly zero crime and kids have the freedom I had - it all balances up
