Well after all the craptastic weather I had a day off and it was nice - ish. It didn't rain and the sun shone briefly, although we have so little daylight up here that the time available is short. I stopped at 2 beaches, one I got soaked at as I had the extension ring on my Nikon and had to get down on the sand for what I wanted - then I realised I was on my way to see an exhibition. My jeans were soaking and covered in sand. I saw the lovely exhibition and decided as the light was good I'd go back to the Herston hostel. I set up the film camera and tripod downstairs but wasn't sure about taking it upstairs as the floor is missing at the top and there is a rope to get you over the gaps. That's fine with an iphone in pocket but not carrying loads. Maybe in summer when there is better light. I went for the tilt shift look as well , I think this place would look great as a miniature dolls house. One for the do to list.
So eerie -- as if the old witch who lives there just stepped out to gather some wolfbane for a potion. And yes it would make a great dollhouse for spooky little dolls. Fav.
I'm glad it wasn't my eyes playing tricks on me. I was wondering if it was "real" or miniature, but the tilt shift comment makes it clear. Fascinating shot.
I like the miniature look. Makes it even more eerie.
