I did a combination lumen/cyanotype this morning before work. I knew I had leftover sensitiser from the last time I did cyanotypes and have loads of expired colour kodak paper. I put some snowdrops under glass and went to work, I took the glass off at lunch and put in a tray of water to wash the cyanotype chems off. Must try fixing this too . The original has an almost metallic sheen to it that hasn't come over in the scanning. A few months ago a couple of friends have been persuading me to get in touch with galleries about an exhibition. I plucked up the courage to ask one and sent an email with a link to my fb page , ot a reply that they would be interested. Then got a phonecall yesterday that would I like to do an exhibition in September.........gulp. so I said yes. so on a bit of a high about that. it's actually been an excellent week, I finally have my car back, over 6 weeks of no smoking .. I am one of those ex-smokers that are hell, a real pain, you know the kind. My daughter was in a play that won their evening and if they are in the top three of the week will be performing tomorrow night as well. A friend came into my work today and handed me a bag and said he would never use it again and would rather see me with it. A Minolta XD7 with 3 lenses. great, bloody brilliant week and I was out most of last night looking at the best Aurora Borealis I've seen. didn't take photos though. so it's been a hectic week but thank you for comments, I will try and get caught up : S
