land sea book 009

This is the main part of my personal project for the art portfolio I'm doing part -time. It's a double spine concertina book - one side is Land the other is Sea, It's quite hard to explain without actually showing it. The images are painted with light on very very old paper (gaslight) in the darkroom - i did this in the developer as so much of the sensitivity has gone with age . It took ages but I love making books and was really pleased with how it turned out

nice to see Ingrid...I am a book artist too. I had not thought of putting photos of those on 365... I have done a collaborative book on Earth Sea with another artist...so quite interesting to see yours.
