Long exposure at the Brough of Birsay

Another gorgeous day, better than a lot we had in July and August. My youngest daughter is away on holiday with my mum and dad, brother and his daughter . My middle son has just headed off to do his week's theory for mechanic training - they learn whilst working, and my oldest is at University. I took some time off work so that I had precisely nothing to do. There's a huge amount of housework, decorating etc but sod it I have four whole days and I'm going to go for walks and take photos. I went to one of my favourite spots today, it's a beach at the Brough of Birsay - there's a tidal causeway that takes you over to the brough you don't have much time, maybe one or two hours either side of low tide. I haven't been across for a couple of years as low tide never seems to coincide with having a day off and being free to go . The rocks on the mainland side are what attracts me the most . I took some film in a pinhole camera too
