This is the old church along the road that led out to my grandparents farm. I love this place, their farm was at the far end of the parish, cliffs, a beach. Pure magic growing up. Probably why I have to live close to the sea. I was at a demonstration protesting against an orange buffoons latest crap. Feeling a bit bleh still as there were photos posted in our local news site and there is an awful lot of negativity towards us. However, I came off Facebook and am looking forward to filmfebruary! Yeah!
Reasons to be cheerful despite T#@!p.
Film Feb, there's always the sea and a strong fresh breeze to blow away the grit and grime and the begrudgers. Like the look of this spot, is it the church the Italian prisoners built?
Dictators come and go, and the ill-informed will do what they do. But you are still making beautiful things. The way the world shifted last year is one of the reasons I started photography last year after such a long absence.
Beautiful image, Ingrid. And well done for the demonstration. I shall be at one of my own in a couple of weeks.
Another beautiful moody image, capturing the spirit of an Orkney winter.
I love the term orange buffoons. We have our own problems down here, we are due to have a major new river crossing opening in the autumn. After years of absolute traffic mayhem caused by unthinking orange buffoons, and years and years of lies telling us that local residents would not have to pay tolls to cross the river, they have back tracked.
To add insult to injury, their plans will hit the poorer, older and more infirm residents worst.

I stopped watching the news last June...
