Beside the lake, beneath the trees ...

...Fluttering and dancing in the breeze

Wordsworth was inspired to write his Daffodils poem after a walk along Ullswater in the Lake District, but we waited until we got home from the Lakes to see this host of golden daffodils beside the lake in Liverpool's Sefton Park.

This is the Field of Hope, planted a few years ago by Marie Curie Cancer Care to raise money for charity. People bought a daffodil bulb to remember loved ones who had been effected by cancer and we now have this wonderful sight to see each Spring.

This photo shows just a few of the blooms, they stretch as far as the eye can see. These ones just caught the last rays of the setting sun tonight.

Had a busy Easter weekend so hope to catch up with commenting this week.

Perfect image to accompany Wordsworth's classic lines. Nice light on the blooms.
