Prepare for take off

There was a lot of demand for spaces on the bird feeders this morning, much squabbling and chatter out there. I think this Siskin knew her time was up, she was preparing to fly as I took this even though she looks like she hasn't quite finished her breakfast.

A lovely warm day today, in fact it's still warm at 10.30pm!

I think these are lovely looking birds and though only a smallish finch, quite feisty and willing to fight to stay on the feeders. Had them in the garden for a few years, now only now and then.
