The Canada geese took their three cute little goslings for a swim around the lake this afternoon, as soon as they got out of the water it was time for a nap. Not the ideal place for a bit of peace and quiet though, they were right in the middle of the path around the lake but their mum and dad were on red alert and hissed at anything that came too close.
The park was full of new life today, it's been a couple of weeks since I've been there so there was lots to catch up on. I met a lady who knew all about the birds on the lake, she told me to look out for 2 Garganey ducks which are quite rare, this had caused quite a stir amongst the twitchers who were all out with their cameras. Fortunately, they weren't hard to find so I got a photo of them too.
