We went for a walk along the west coast of Orkney today, it was so beautiful with all the wild flowers, then the sun came out and so did the butterflies. They were fluttering about everywhere in the wind, fortunately this one landed right in front of me.
The little flowers are spring Squill which covers the grass and gives it a purple haze.
The cliffs along the coast were teeming with sea birds, so there were lots of photo opportunities. It's good to have so much choice for photo of the day but so hard to make a decision!
