Wildflower extravaganza by inthecloud5

Wildflower extravaganza

Had a trip to the national wildflower centre today. The centre was started as a millennium project to collect seeds and promote wildflower planting. It's quite well established now with an amazing array of wildflowers and insects to see at the centre. Interesting to learn about schemes to plant native wildflowers in urban areas of Liverpool and Manchester and on the central reservations and verges of major roads throughout the region.

Saw so many different wildflowers, bees, butterflies and insects, this was the most colourful, a six spot burnet moth on knapweed.
Beautiful capture - great colors

Lovely shot, nice assortment of colour. I was supposed to go to the Wildflower Centre on Wednesday with a small group from camera club.
I changed my mind at last minute when I saw the weather and went looking for Kingfishers. They had a great day out, I saw two Kingfishers, both flying and not staying around.
